Biography

Sam Schurman is a driven, personable attorney who is dedicated to his clients. He has a strong analytical mindset and approaches legal issues with vigor and creativity. Sam is a skilled negotiator and fiercely pursues the best outcomes for his clients. His practice concentrates on community association law, landlord/tenant law, and real estate litigation.

Previously, Sam was a high school English teacher for nearly a decade, primarily teaching tenth and twelfth graders. Sam thrived during law school and graduated with honors. Sam was also involved in many extracurricular activities, including competing in the Philip C. Jessup Moot Court competition, where his team advanced to the regional quarterfinals. He worked as a law clerk and gained experience in civil litigation. After law school, Sam sharpened his litigation skills while working as a lawyer at a high-volume litigation firm. Sam excels at investigating claims, taking depositions, negotiating resolutions, and obtaining favorable results for his clients.

In the legal community, Sam volunteers at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, including serving as a judge for the moot court competition for first-year law students.

Outside of the office, Sam enjoys playing board games, singing karaoke, and spending time with family and friends.
