Biography

David is an attorney focusing his practice in the areas of civil litigation, general business & corporate law, real estate, and representing common interest communities. Having served as a board member of his own homeowner’s association, David is uniquely situated to represent community associations, understanding their individualized legal and corporate needs, areas of risk, and budget constraints.

David has a passion for helping clients understand, comprehend, and navigate the complexities of civil litigation, appeals and complex transactional matters. David has successfully litigated civil and criminal cases before multiple Minnesota district courts, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and the Minnesota Supreme Court. David appreciates that behind each case is a client with their own personal goals and stresses, and prides himself in taking time to personally understand and each client to help them achieve their desired outcomes more effectively.

David graduated cum laude from the University of St. Thomas and received his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he finished as a top-ranked international competitor and the top American oralist at the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Before joining Greenstein Sellers, David received invaluable experience as an attorney for a general practice law firm, and as a judicial law clerk to Judge Heidi S. Schellhas of the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

David proudly serves as a Judge Advocate and commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve, specializing in legal assistance, contract & fiscal law, military justice, and international law. David also teaches international law and coaches moot court at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. David participates extensively in the local legal community, volunteering with Wills for Heroes, working as a judicial district ethics investigator, and serving as an executive officer with the Hennepin County Bar Association’s New Lawyer Section. When not working, David enjoys spending time with his wife on the golf course, running with his dog Jarvis, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.
